MESSAGE FROM THE ADMINISTRATION

PRINCIPAL: MR. GENE HAMPTON

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL: MRS. STACEY WISE

Welcome Parents, Students,and Community Members

On behalf of the faculty and staff, we welcome you to an exciting school year. We are pleased that you are a part of the Frost School family. We anticipate your involvement and cooperation in making this year successful.

An overview of the school's policies, procedures, guidelines, and expectations can be found in the Frost School Student Handbook, which was sent home on the first day of school. Please review this handbook with your child and retain it for reference throughout the school year as questions arise.

Our goal is to work with you to provide the best educational program for your child. We must work together as a team if our children are to reach their maximum potential.

My plan for this school year is to provide our children with a safe, secure, and nurturing environment. We have a God given responsibility to furnish such an environment. Safety comes first. For this reason, all vistor's must check in at the office. You will be issued a visitor's pass for identification purposes when you are on campus. Please do not be offended if a teacher or student asks to see your pass. Every precaution will be taken to prevent having the innocence of our children stolen from them by the unstable world in which they live.

Academics are extremely important and come second only to the safety and the well being of the child. For this reason, every available minute of teaching time will be utilized for that purpose. Please consider this important reason when reviewing the restrictions that are put on phone calls, and any other activity that might interfere with the learning process. Our children have the intelligence and fortitude necessary to be second to none.

All other activities that the school promotes are important and third in line only to safety and academics. Sports are of great benefit and are treated as such. They promote physical activity, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. Please help us to promote this threshold approach to help our children to be the best they can be.

If you have any questions, please call the school at
(225) 698-3780. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year!

Mr. Gene Hampton
